- 3 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion (large, or 2 smaller onions, chopped)
- 3 celery (ribs, finely chopped)
- 1 green pepper (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 3 Tbsp. cooking sherry
- 4 sun dried tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 15 oz. great northern beans (undrained)
- 15 oz. red kidney beans (dark, undrained)
- 15 oz. black beans (undrained)
- 15 oz. diced tomatoes (seasoned, I use basil and garlic seasoned)
- 15 oz. fire-roasted diced tomatoes (If you can’t find these, 2 cans of the seasoned tomatoes will work fine)
- 4.5 oz. chopped green chilies
- 12 oz. tomato sauce
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 20 dashes frank (’s hot sauce, if desired)
