- 500 grams chicken (with bones, This preparation tastes better with bones rather than boneless one)
- 1 tsp. red chili powder (I used Kashmiri Red Chili for making it little mild but you can put as per your taste)
- 1 tsp. tamarind extract (I used readymade tamarind paste)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. fenugreek seeds
- 1/2 tsp. black mustard seeds
- 4 green chili (silted horizontally, you can use additional whole red chilli also according to your preference)
- 1 tsp. turmeric powder
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- salt (to taste.)
- 3 curry leaves
- 3 coriander leaves (for garnish, optional)
- 1 tsp. coriander seeds
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 2 inches canela (piece of)
- 4 cloves
- 1 tsp. poppy seeds (roasted)
- 1 tsp. chopped garlic
- 1 tsp. ginger (chopped)
- 1 tsp. black pepper corns
- 1 cup coconut (fresh / frozen, cut into small pieces or grated)
