The best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made or had as homemade. Great crispy exterior to chewy interior ratio. Cooks Illustrated/ATK always nails it with their recipes, especially the baking ones. Made sure to mash out all the lumps of brown sugar, scramble the eggs before adding, and allow the mixture to sit for a bit after mixing the butter/eggs/sugar/extract together. Also added just a tiny bit of cinnamon to give them some oomph. Make sure to pull out of the oven just as the edges have turned golden brown so that the cookies aren't over cooked and lose that chewiness in the middle.
