45 minutes is far too long To simmer. This resulted in an EXTREMELY overset jam that was inedible. Especially annoying since grape jam is a lot of work compared to other fruit jams with the hand peeling of grapes etc. :(

really strong grape flavor not for you if your looking for something that tastes like you got it from the store

Excellent. Not too sweet, very grape-y. These were generic grapes from my yard, so I used 5 cups sugar (to taste), and since the recipe calls for juice of half a lemon, I figured I might as well use the zest, too, rather than waste it...

I came to visit my sister, and discovered some leftover concords on her vines after her last picking for wine. So, I picked them and found this recipe to try. We couldn't be happier! We have a crockpot of apple butter simmering alongside this grape jam and we are canning both. We hadn't made grape jam before, though, and we are both thrilled with the outcome! Not only does her house smell amazing, but we are loving the taste testing. I can see there may be less wine and more jam next year! And that's saying a lot!
