I use to make this for my kids and their friends when they were teens and they loved it. I recently made it for my significant other and it was a hit with him too! (He has the palate of a kid LOL). It’s very filling and tasty kind of like a Shepherds Pie. This recipe says it’s around 365 calories per serving but I’m counting closer to 450 calories (based on 1/8th of a 13x9 pan.)

This is a recipe that would go over well if feeding young kids (husband included). I followed the recipe to a T (and using top shelf ingredients). It "filled the hole" but wouldn't make again. I personally found it to be bland. Did have leftovers because we don't have kids in the house. Husband ate leftovers the next day for lunch. He said it tasted a little better the next day.

I followed the recipe, and it tasted great. The family loved it! I will definitely be making it again.

Didn't modify from the directions. No wait?! I added the specified amount of cheese in the dish and added sprinkled more on top

Dish tasted OK but feel like it should be served over toast similar to a sausage gravy my mom used to make for breakfast.

Two changes I had to make due to what I had on hand and for my wife. I used cream of celery instead of mushroom because my wife REALLY dislikes mushrooms even though my two sons and I relish mushrooms. I also did not have tater totes but used frozen french fries. This recipe was complete demolished by us! This will be placed in my cookbook favorites in the kitchen. I wonder how it would be with sausage thrown in?

My husband really liked it-he said it reminded him of shepherd's pie but with tater tots. I thought it was simple and good. I am a tomato fanatic and put a little salsa on top of mine and I liked it better. My 14 yr. old daughter didn't care for it, and she's the reason I tried it (she likes cheesy tater tots)!
