I made these today... I didn’t have 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar so I replaced 1/2 cup brown sugar with white sugar and a tablespoon of maple syrup. I put a whole teaspoon of vanilla extract in the brownies. I also added roughly 8 tablespoons of coffee rather than the 3 suggested lol. They taste very good.... but because the changes I made to the recipes they did not split like regular brownies, they were more cake like. But they were very good!!!! I also did not have chocolate morsels so I used what someone else commented about adding in cocoa powder. If you make them the way I did you’ll have to cook them roughly 10-15 minutes longer (due to them being more cake based) I enjoyed them. I’d definitely make them again, I’d also love to make them exactly how the recipe said maybe add more coffee because I love coffee.
