The first batch I made I followed the directions. The batter is so wet, I had to keep wetting my hands because the balls kept sticking and they flattened out after rolling. After reading the reviews on All Recipes, one person actually added an additional box of cookie crumbs.
I added more rum and the second box of crushed cookies to the extremely messy batch. Far improved. Flavor-wise they're OK, a bit flat. I would like to make these using ginger snaps to bump up the flavor profile.
Second batch made i used a 7 oz. can of condensed milk and 1 box of lemon Nilla wafers. Used Malibu black for the rum contribution. DELICIOUS!
