Before I read this recipe I was not aware of the existance of plantains. Still have no idea what it tastes like, we don't get it in South Africa to my knowledge.
I tried it with banana instead, without doing proper research first... First batch was burnt, stuck to the tray, within 15min.
Tried it again, a little differently second time round with a little more coconut (about 1/4cup extra) and on lower heat(175°C) for about 15min and it turned out much better. Little dryer, and not burnt.
My husband (who doesnt eat banana in anything), tried it and said, "not bad".
Will be making it again... Thank you.
