  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks or ½ pound, softened, but not melted! Ideal texture should be like soft serve ice cream.)
  • 4 cups sugar (confectioners, powdered, SIFTED)
  • 1/4 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream (half and half, or milk **heavy cream is best)

    Tasty and creamy. Even with butter, it still came out white. I used 4 cups of confectioners sugar and ir was enough to cover a double stacked 9" round cake.

    I didn't use quite as much powdered sugar.. it was too "sick sweet" for my taste. I used 3 cups and only added about maybe a tablespoon of milk and it came out perfect!! Thanks for sharing the recipe <3
