Rich and delicious. The panko addition is a must. Was a hit with my family!

If you follow the recipe to a “T” it is an excellent dish and I would highly recommend! However, after the first time I tweaked the recipe after thbecause I wanted a bit more flavor to my Mac and cheese. I use roughly 4oz each of cheddar, Romano, and smoked Gouda. I also bake it once the pasta and cheese sauce has been mixed for 25 mins at 400 degrees. I top the dish with seasoned panko crumbs which gives it a little bit of extra flavor and a nice crunch. Like I said though, the recipe itself is good just the way it is!

My family loves this and complains if I use another recipe. I use a super sharp cheese (it’s a type from Costco) and Italian seasoned panko in mine. I think the quality of cheese can make a huge difference.

I didn't bake it, but still pretty good. Sauce is a lovely consistency, though I would've let the noodles cook thoroughly.

Very good recipe. Creamy and cheesy. I did the oven bake, also added garlic to the roux. Will add some sautéed shallots next time.

Tweak the amount of milk and cheese and you're on to a winner. For a cheap and easy dinner throw in some froven vegetables in the cheese sauce before adding to the pasta and you'll have a meal even the fussiest kids will eat.

My kids didn’t like it and my husband was trying to be nice and said, “It’s not bad.” My 6 yr old said it would be better if I had left the potatoes out of it. Lol. It didn’t have much flavor. I was a little worried about that when I saw it took 4 cups of milk and 3 cups of cheese. I’ve never made Mac n cheese from scratch so I’ll try a different recipe next time with less milk.
