Delicious…lots of compliments. Will make it often. Didn’t have time to make meatballs so used honey garlic sausage meat squeezed from the skins…fried separately in chunks, in olive oil with Italiano spice and some soy sauce. This was added to the veggies when broth was added. Didn’t take any time to prepare.

Subbed mild Italian sausage for chicken sausage and used orzo. The whole family enjoyed it. ( edited to add: I seasoned to taste at the end.)

Pretty simple to make but it was needing something. I will definitely add more seasoning or something extra next time

I quite enjoy this recipe. I tweak some things. I don't use sausage casings and add the parmesan to the meatballs.

Soooo good and easy! We added a little bit of heavy whipping cream to make it creamy, and then put it in sourdough bread bowls. This recipe is a keeper!

Excellent! I used my homemade Italian sausage and used rice instead of orzo and collard greens instead of spinach. Awesome! Will definitely make this again!

very good. we use premade hot italian sausage instead of making our own, plus chicken breasts. we love this recipe.

Delicious! I let mine simmer longer to bring out the flavor and also used frozen spinach.

I’ve always loved this soup but have just made it for the very first time using this recipe. Very simple but delicious. I made a big batch and froze single serving portions. I added raw spinach to the cooled soup just before freezing so that it didn’t wilt. It’s a great grab and go lunch to bring to the office.

Very good recipe...thank you! I made a double batch of the meatballs, using ground pork and loose italian sausage, one pound of each. I also added a 1/4 cup of grated romano cheese and 4 T fresh chopped parsley. Followed the rest of the recipe to a T. I also gave the meatballs a quick fry to burn off some of the fat and the help them hold together better.
