Very tasty. I did read that fish sauce could be used to deepen flavor so I may try that next time.

This was fantastic. The only change I would make (got tip from a chef) is to use a slice of swiss, or the other cheese, as layer under the other shredded cheese to keep it from falling into soup when broiling.

I replaced the white wine vinegar with the same amount of white wine and this was super yummy

Delicious! I will definitely make again! Added extra garlic and 3 teaspoons of white wine vinegar as it was still sweet after 2 teaspoons. No other changes, delicious!

Delicious! I made this for my mother who had to be on liquids for a couple of days. Much better and more satisfying than store-bought soup. We just left out the cheese and baguette for her until later. An excellent recipe and will make again and again as my mother and I are onion lovers!

Perfect! So delicious. I tripled the amount of garlic. My husband is a French onio soup fanatic and he loved it.

Enjoyed by everyone at the table, served 6 perfectly. Followed other contributors advice with some extra garlic also. The cheese blend is perfect. Had this for mains and everyone was full after. Will make this again for sure.

Easy and delicious! Had to use the dried thyme and it still worked out wonderfully

Very flavorful! I think the fresh thyme made a big difference. Usually, I just sprinkle in dried thyme.
