- 2 yellow onions (medium, chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 red bell pepper (cored, seeded, chopped, about 1/2 cup)

- 1/4 flat leaf parsley (chopped)
- 28 oz. tomatoes (1 can, whole, San Marzano are excellent, with juice)
- 8 oz. clam juice (2 bottles)
- 1 cup sauvignon blanc (dry white wine, is good)
- 2 bay leafs
- 1 Tbsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flake
- 1/2 tsp. salt (more to taste)
- 2 tsp. lemon juice (about 2 teaspoons)
- 12 clams (small hard-shell, in shell)
- 12 mussels (in shell)
- 1 lb. extra large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 lb. bay scallops
- 1 lb. cod (firm white fish fillets, halibut, haddock are all good choices)
- 2 lb. crab legs (fresh steamed)

Pretty good. I don’t know that I would make it again, but if I were to make it again, I would use less onion, and less dried spices. Use fresh herbs instead.
