    I was trying to find a cookie that was not too thick but still soft and chewy around the edges and I lucked up and this is it. This recipe was amazing but I did mix and include white chocolate, milk chocolate and caramel chips I used 4 cups rather than the 2 cups called for in the recipe and added walnuts. I will make these again

    Turns out great. I made half recipe and reduce the sugar because my oven is small and my dad needs to control his sugar level, nevertheless: the cookies disappeared fast

    absolutely delicious! Identical to the recipe that used to be on the toll house morsels bag. I live at 6000 feet elevation. I had to add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 15 minutes.

    THESE WERE SOOOO GOOD! They tasted delicious! They had a fantastic texture too; soft in the middle, but had a nice crunchy outside, but not too crunchy... just great! I used Hershey's Chipits 70% dark chocolate chunks instead of chips & it worked perfectly! I used salted butter aswell. I also 1/4 the recipe: •1/4 cup butter, sofened •1/4 cup white sugar •1/4 cup packed brown sugar •1/2 a large egg (1 3/4 tbsp of whisked egg) •1/2 tsp vanilla extract •1/4 tsp baking soda •1/2 tsp hot water •1/8 tsp salt •3/4 cups all-purpose flour •1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips/ chunks and I got 12 by using just under a 2 tbsp scoop (exactly 1/4). I will definatly be making these again!

    I used oil to replace the butter and applesauce to replace the eggs so mine are vegan, but these are delicious!!! So soft and chewy!!
