    Easy, moist and tasty. It’s a keeper. I used one cup of brown sugar, added cinnamon and nutmeg, and used two cups of apples. Since our apples are sweet, I could have used less sugar.

    very good. i did add cinnamon, nutmeg , and ginger. im also at 3500 altitude. so also added an egg, increased temp and decreased time. i also baked in a bundt pan. will make again.

    An update to my earlier review...just made this in a tube pan and it turned out even better. I increased the baking time to 60 minutes. Next time I will butter and flour the tube pan as there was a bit of sticking. As I did last time I added 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the batter. Whether you go with a tube pan or the baking pan I would move up to 2 cups of apples. I did that this time and the extra apples really stand out. BTW: I used a 50/50 mixture of Anne and Dorsett Golden apples.

    Amusing!!! So good warm
    Easy and delicious, i blitzed the apple in the food processor first and it was like a tasty mini apple pie flavour cake. Delicious!

    Delicious! I made some adjustments like I mixed my Granny Smith, Gala, and Mac apples I chopped them and left the skin on I also subbed Greek Yogurt for the milk and doubled the topping I also added extra cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg - I cut the cake in half and will keep half for my family and give the other half (pictured) to another family

    Great! I did make it differently though. Instead of buttermilk I use pumpkin spice eggnog and no apples. I added cinnamon and nutmeg. It was delicious

    Made this cake today with my favorite apples. My search is over!!! I’ve been searching for a recipe that would taste like one my MOM made when I was a child ( my mom was a wonderful cook that never cooked or baked following written recipes ) This cake was DELICIOUS and I will include it in my FAVORITE RECIPES.     The topping was great however I have a sweet tooth so I would prefer the actual cake to have more sweetness to it with it why I added a bit of condensed milk to it.

    It turned out great. I accidentally added a lot more cinnamon to the topping than the recipe called for, but it turned out amazing anyway. I'll probably do the same next time too.

    Amazing! Super moist, hard to screw up (as directions suggest), and I took the advice of using a bit less sugar and it was still super delish! Oh, and I might have made some cream cheese icing for the those who needed a glutinous topper — oops ;)

    I wanted to use up gala apples and not go to the store and this recipe came up. I extra apples and lots of cinnamon in the batter and the topping ( my family love cinnamon). I think the recipe would benefit from more tangy apples which I might try next time.

    Excellent!!! Nice and moist,very tasty. This is what I call a keeper. Will definitely make it again.Also easy to put together. Mixed it all by whisk or spoon.

    Fantastic! I added a 1/8 teaspoon of Star Anise powder with the cinnamon topping. WOW! Cake is beautiful!

    Delicious! Very large though, so lots of left overs, which is not good for my waist. Will definitely make again.
