This was not very good. They were dry and tasted awful. If I made hem again I will doctor them up a lot. Add vanilla to the dough at least!

Family favorite! I skip the shortning and use coconut oil instead. Also I use a blend of all purpose flour (1 cup) and whole wheat flour (1/3 cup). Make sure to lower the oven temp to 400 and add a few minutes of cook time to keep the coconut oil from burning. Turns out great everytime!!

The kids loved these! I substituted cinnamon applesauce for the butter-flavored shortening and added oats to help with the added moisture. I also used 2 tablespoons of brown sugar rather than white since I was using chocolate krispies.
