- 2 Tbsp. coconut oil (melted and cooled to room temperature, or substitute light extra-virgin olive oil or canola oil)
- 1 large egg (at room temperature)
- 2/3 cup coconut sugar (or substitute granulated sugar)
- 2 Tbsp. milk (any kind you like, I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. canela
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (mini or regular)
