- 1 1/4 cups sugar (superfine, castor, note: i just ran some sugar through the food processor to make it super fine.)
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cornstarch (corn flour)
- 3 Tbsp. Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 2 oz. bittersweet chocolate (or semi-sweet, chopped)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp. granulated white sugar
- kumquats (Candied, see recipe below)
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 pkg. kumquats (cut into slices)
