Light and fluffy, nothing is quite so elegant or decadent as a chocolate mousse. Made with 70% dark chocolate, this mousse is rich in chocolate flavor while simultaneously having a light and airy texture. Requiring just three simple ingredients, this mousse is quick and easy to whip up. Make sure your egg whites are nice and stiff so as to provide your mousse with its airy quality. Garnish with fresh berries and chocolate shavings for added appeal.

  • 100 grams dark chocolate (at least 70 percent cacao)
  • 3 egg whites

    Directions

    1. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate and, on medium heat, microwave in 1-minute intervals until melted.
    2. Separately, in another bowl whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks.
    3. Fold the egg whites carefully into the chocolate.
    4. Separate into 2 serving dishes and refrigerate a few hours before serving.
    5. Garnish with berries or grated chocolate when serving.
