The best part about Chocolate Lava Cake is the melty inside the spills out as soon as you cut into it. Requiring just 5 simple ingredients, these molten chocolate cakes make a great dessert for entertaining and can be elegantly garnished with powdered sugar and fresh fruit. Featuring 70% dark chocolate, these lava cakes are rich and decadent. You can melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave, as this recipe suggests, or over a double boiler. Make in individually sized ramekins for an individually portioned dessert option.
Ingredients
- 150 grams dark chocolate (70% chocolate)
- 50 grams butter
- 3 eggs
- 50 grams sugar
- 35 grams flour
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 240C.
- Grease 4 individual ramekins.
- Melt the chocolate with the butter in the microwave on medium. Stop and stir every minute until the chocolate is melted.
