This was a very easy recipe to make I made a few modifications to it though.
I added in 2 tsp of Vanilla Extract to the wet ingredients for the dough to help bring out more chocolate flavor
I didn’t have buttermilk so I replaced with 1 tsp of distilled vinegar and the rest milk to bring up 1/3 cup
I took out the bourbon (since I was doing for kids)
And I made twice the glaze and thinned it a bit so I could roll the donuts and holes in it to coat on sides the proportions for that was 2 cups of powdered sugar with 4 TBSP of milk
While not a real change to the recipe, I used a deep fryer which made the temperature maintenance a non-issue
My family went nuts over the way they turned out
The two things I would do differently next time would be to only cook the donut holes for 1 1/2 mins on each side and add a little vanilla extract to the glaze
