- 1 1/3 cups flour (All purpose GF, I used Bob's Red Mill brand with red label NOT the baking AP flour)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (I used 100% dark chocolate)
- 2 tsp. canela
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed, could probably sub coconut sugar if you can't use regular brown sugar)
- 1/2 cup pumpkin purée (plain! Not pie filling)
- 3.9 oz. unsweetened applesauce (plain, I used the ones in little containers that come with 3.9 oz in them)
- 2 Tbsp. vegan butter (I used Earth Balance in the red tub)
- 2/3 cup vegan chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life brand)
- icing
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbsp. almond milk (I used u sweetened vanilla SILK brand)
