- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 8 oz. semisweet chocolate (cut into 1/2-inch chunks, best to chop yourself rather than use packaged chunks. Be sure to put all of it, including shavings into mix)
- 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 vanilla bean (halved lengthwise)
- 2 1/2 cups sugar (confectioners’, 10 ounces)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. heavy cream
- mini chocolate chips (for garnish, optional)
