What's better than chocolate chip cookies? One big, thick, and gooey chocolate chip cookie served warm from a skillet. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

- nonstick cooking spray
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. corn starch
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt (scant)
- 4 oz. chocolate chips (or chunks, 4 oz. is about 2/3 cup)
- flaky sea salt (for serving, optional)

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spray an 8-inch cast-iron skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Use a mixer to cream together the butter and sugars on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 1 minute. Add the egg and continue to beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, 30 seconds to one minute.

great recipe but i would kick down the salt a bit and add another tsp of granulated sugar

Tasty but definitely more of a cake-like texture instead of the ooey gooey cookie I was hoping for.

Very good! Added cocoa powder because I didn't have any chocolate chips.
