4 SERVINGS
- 3 bananas (small, or 2 large bananas, if you use overripe bananas it is even sweeter than if you use plain ripe bananas- factor that in mind when deciding which other sweetener to use)
- 1 cup buckwheat flour (green, or gluten free all purpose flour mix, or whole wheat or spelt or regular wheat if gluten isn't a concern for your family)
- 1/4 cup buckwheat groats (green/raw/untoasted)
- 1/4 cup ground flax seeds (plus)
- 1/4 cup chia seeds (whole, or more ground flax seeds- chia seeds make it more expensive, but healthier)
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup water (more, or milk, dairy milk or non dairy milk or kombucha or kefir or water with a bit of raw apple cider vinegar if soaking)
- 1/4 cup date syrup (jaggery syrup, maple syrup or honey, honey will make it sweeter, the other sweeteners will make it less sweet but still decent)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp. canela
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup Craisins (sugar free, mine are apple juice sweetened, optional, but they do add a lot)
