- 1/2 cup red enchilada sauce (mild, use 10 oz. can if making my enchiladas recipe)
- 8 oz. green chiles (MILD chopped)
- 2 chipotles in adobo sauce (more or less to taste minced, approx. 2 tablespoons**)
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. worchestershire
- 3 tsp. liquid smoke (depending on how "smoky" you like it)
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin (EACH, dried oregano)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. garlic powder (EACH, onion powder)
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder (EACH, smoked paprika)
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves (EACH, ground cinnamon)

Turned out amazing. I only had 1.5 pounds of beef so I cut the recipe in half. Will be making this again. I was afraid it would be too spicy for my husband, but it wasn’t at all, it was just a wonderful blend of flavors.
