- 1 tsp. salt

- 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. pickle (garlic, see ingredients for the pickle below)
- 1/4 tsp. fennel seeds
- 1/4 tsp. fenugreek seeds
- 1 star anise
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 175 mL malt vinegar (white)
- 3 bulbs garlic (peeled and finely chopped)
