Excellent Chili recipe but as always I changed it up a little. We love celery in our Chili so I added some as well as mushrooms. I also substituted one 12 ounce can of pale ale beer from some of the water. Upped some of the seasonings and added cayenne pepper for some zip.

This was the best chili I’ve ever made, according to my husband. I didn’t have a green pepper, so I skipped that, or the 28 oz can or diced tomatoes, so I subbed about 1.5-2 cups of leftover marinara sauce and a cup of diced tomatoes I had frozen. I used about 2 cups of chicken stock instead of the 4 cups of water called for. I didn’t have cumin, but I’m sure that would have been good. I added 1 tsp of oregano instead of 3/4 because who can be bothered to measure out 3/4? Garnished with avocado, grated cheddar and sour cream - yum.

Solid recipe. I upped the spice with two sliced jalapeños and I added cayenne and smoked paprika. Very tasty

So good! I added more meat and spices - and a little more tomato’s to make it go further - super tasty on a cold night
