- 1 whole chicken
- 4 lb. salt
- 1 mushrooms (pack, about 350 grams, I used white but any kind will work)
- 1 can chickpeas (or 1 cup dry peas, be sure to place those in cold water overnight or longer, drain the water before cooking)
- 4 mini bell peppers (or 1-2 large ones, sliced)
- 5 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 onions (medium, thinly sliced into semi circles)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 5 Tbsp. salsa
- 2 Tbsp. red pepper (paste)
- 1/2 Tbsp. fresh ginger (grated)
- 2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 3 fresh thyme (branches of, or 1 tsp dry)
