- 1 cup chopped celery (or 1 tsp celery seed instead)
- 2 cups carrots (diced, 3 medium carrots)

- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 10 cups chicken (or vegetable broth)

- 1/4 cup cornmeal (if you don't have any don't worry! Just do 2c Bisquick instead)
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
