Ive been making chicken soup from scratch for what seems like forever. I looked for a recipe because mine was seeming bland and needed help. This recipe is perfect and so delicious. The garlic which I never put in mine is excellent and the spices are just right. I always put rice in my homemade chicken soup so I’m sticking with that but will continue to make this gooooood!

Delicious!! I followed the recipe, except I used 4c water + 4c chicken broth. My 9 year old son (who is a picky eater) loved it! Definitely will make this again...thank you!

Fabulous! I used a whole chicken and added more black pepper and fresh herbs, but the basic roots of the recipe is great.

Loved this recipe! Easy to make and turned out perfectly. I love that I could control the salt and that it doesn’t require chicken stock or boullion cubes. This is the perfect remedy for a cold or a cold Fall night.

Simple and easy recipe to follow. The amount of water isn’t in the ingredients list. It’s 8 cups. I added 10, 4 cups of water and 6 cups of chicken broth. Used fresh parsley and thyme. I couldn’t find fresh basil but dried worked just fine. I also used 2lbs bone-in chicken thighs and 4.5 cups of spiral egg noodles because I like my “soup” really hearty.

Used chicken thighs and breasts. Added can of diced Italian tomatoes and chicken bouillon (3 envelopes) and more water with 1 1/2 cups small pasta.

Overall, it was fantastic. Using chicken broth in place of a quarter, half, or even all of the water is a good way to strengthen the broth, if you can afford it.

Perfect! I added a little more vegetables just because I like a thick soup but the recipe is delicious!

This was easy to make and so delicious! I wouldn’t change a thing, but I may try it with fresh herbs the next time I make it.

Perfect. I used boneless chicken breast because that’s what I had on hand, and replace 2 c of water with chicken broth

This was really good, although I don't like it with to many noodles so I cut back on that, but that is all I changed. Had a grilled cheese sandwich with it.

Amazing recipe! Made this for my son who stayed home from school with a cold. Prepping all the ingredients was a breeze. I tore through my bowl, hes slowly going through his, but hes enjoying it. Thanks a bunch.

This is such an easy way to make delicious chicken noodle soup. Cooking chicken in the soup, then pulling it out to shred it is such an awesome idea.

Great recipe! Easy to follow too. I added 1 large potato to make hearty. Only complaint would that when the soup sits overnight the noodles soak up the water, so either add more water while cooking or every time you heat it up afterwards.

This was such a good recipe, so flavorful without a ton of work. I used a rotisserie chicken instead and just let the chicken soak as long as the carrots and celery and it’s amazing!
