- 2 1/2 lb. chicken (skin removed and cut into 1-2″, Feel free to use any kind of chicken pieces)
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 Tbsp. yogurt
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. red chili powder (more or less)
- 3 Tbsp. spice mix (/Goda Masala or Kala Masala Mix, Recipe Below – May use the store bought powder too.)

- 3 onions (large, sliced into thin half moons)
- 4 cloves garlic (sliced or minced)
- 3 fresh ginger (. 3″, grated or thinly sliced)
- 1/2 can coconut milk (about 7 oz/200ml)
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 tsp. sugar

- 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro (tender stalks and leaves)
- 2 Tbsp. coconut (fresh or dried)
- 3/4 cup tomato paste (+ 1/2 cup water)
- 1 Tbsp. white poppy seeds
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cumin (/jeera)
- 3 Tbsp. coriander (/dhania seeds)
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1 tsp. fenugreek (/methi seeds)
- 1 tsp. peppercorn
- 6 dry red chilli pepper (more or less as per your spice tolerance)
- 4 cloves
- 4 green cardamom (small)
- 2 cinnamon stick
- asafoetida (12. A pinch of hing/)
- 2 Tbsp. coconut (dried)
- 1 tsp. sesame seed
