  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (mild, or 1 teaspoon Aleppo Pepper, if you have it.)
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste (divided, see notes)
  • 2 jalapeno peppers

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 yellow onion (large, halved and thinly sliced)

  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste (remaining from above)
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

    So good! Swapped out the can of plum tomatoes for a smaller can of tomato sauce and it was perfect! Will definitely make again.

    Not enough flavour for my taste.

    It turned out awesomely! Substituted the. Milk for coconut milk and added just a little bit more chilli for good measure! Also I ended by putting the biryani in the oven for the last 10min simmer. Delicious!
