Not so great. Very bland really, even with marinating the chicken for eight hours,
Not sure putting the rice over the chicken works so well. Without stirring through the rice didn’t take on a saffron color or flavors. Did this before serving as it just didn’t appear to look like biryani that I’ve come across. Then tried to break up the chicken which had dried a little. And it was thigh.
Maybe the directions should have been corrected?

Not to bad, but not great on the other hand. Kids liked it, chicken and rice you can’t go wrong 😑

I had to make substitutions - I’m sure the recipe is great if followed exactly. Used plain Greek yogurt and mint chutney mixture for marinade, did not have bay leaf, so added dried chiles. Used brown basmati rice. Maybe I didn’t add enough salt, so I added roasted cashews, raisins, kair pickle, and gongura red chili pickle

I used turmeric instead of saffron for the rice because it’s super expensive and I couldn’t find it. I also stupidly forgot to add the cumin! But this dish has so much flavour in it I almost didn’t notice. It’s the easiest and most affordable recipe I’ve come across and I will definitely be making it again!

This has become a staple in my house. I tend to cook the thighs a little longer to get some char. I also use nearly 1/4th a cup of saffron milk and let it simmer down to make the rice a little creamier.

It was great! I highly recommend this recipe. I would suggest marinating the chicken overnight. We did the quick 30 minute marinating. This recipe would be great if doubled for parties and I would suggest cooking the chicken a little longer before adding the rice if you did that.

It turned out great I was kind of confused on why we have to put the rice over the raw chicken so I let the chicken fully cook then added the rice
