- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (or use 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup maple syrup)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. cardamom
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 3/4 cup chocolate chunks (coarsely chopped white, or white chocolate chips OR use dark chocolate instead, optional)
- 1/2 cup toasted walnuts (chopped, or pecans, optional)
