- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 12 Tbsp. unsalted butter (gently melted and then cooled to room temperature)
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (plus a bit more for sprinkling over the top of the dough, my favorite chocolate chips)

Excellent. I never thought to line my baking pan with nonstick foil so you can just lift out and easily cut into bars. I did add 1 cup of chopped walnuts and sprinkled very lightly with some flaky sea salt. Delicious.
