- 2/3 cup white onion (diced, about ½ small onion)
- 3 tsp. garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. basil
- 14 oz. canned diced tomatoes
- 2 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded, can use a variety of cheeses)

- fresh tomatoes (diced)
- Parmesan cheese (optional but so good!)
