- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (1/2 stick or 2 ounces, softened and cut into 4 pieces)
- 3/4 cup flour (plus more for dusting)
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp. half-and-half (I used cream, because I had it on hand; suspect milk would work just as well)

Fabulous. The dough is very forgiving so you can adapt as yous wish. I substituted Jarlsberg for the cheddar. Next time, I will incorporate some caraway seed as well.
