    This was easy and tasty. It made for a quick weeknight dinner. I paired it with green beans and used canned tomatoes since I had that on hand. I will make this again.

    I'm going to give this a four, because I agree that the dish is initially a little bland. However, here's what I did to make mine a little more interesting: 1. Not necessarily on purpose, but I used top steak rather than tips because my store didn't carry tips. It was still quite good! 2. When I added the cumin, I also added some coriander and cayenne for some freshness and heat, respectively. Obviously it's important to play around with the ratios, but you'll know when you get the right balance. 3. I covered it and simmered it for longer than a few minutes. The reason for this is that I prefer for my tomatoes to be pretty soft when I eat them, so if you like soft tomatoes, cook them a little longer than the recipe recommends. The final product was really, really good and I'll definitely be making it again!

    It was good. I marinated the meat for extra flavor. The final product was good not great. But I will make it again and I will use a better cut of meat.

    Definitely spice it up to your liking! Also I made it in a Caldero pot, and after cooking steak and removing, sautéing veggies and making sauce, I added a cup of water to the pot, brought it to boil, added 1/2 cup rice and the steak on top I simmered it all until rice was done - delicious one pot dinner!

    I've had Bistec before and really enjoyed it, but this recipe did not live up to expectations. It was a bit bland.

    This was really delicious! Very easy to make and I was pleasantly surprised about how good it tasted. A friend joined me for dinner and she loved it too, in fact she’s planning to try the recipe too!

    This recipe was great! Usually I’m not a fan of cooked tomatoes, but covering then in the beef “sauce” made them taste amazing.

    Good! We put it over cauliflower rice. Used chicken broth instead of water and I would dice all the vegetables versus thin slicing next time.

    All my family love it. I follow the recipe and they asked me to do it again because it was delicious. So this is the second time that i made it in less than a month.

    It was easy and quick to prepare and cook. it tasted delicious, I also added in one bell pepper. great recipe it was also the first time I used cumin very interesting flavour :)
