- 1 whole vanilla beans (split in half lengthwise)
- 1 lemon (unwaxed, taken off in long swaths)
- juice (that lemon)
- 1 orange (large, taken off in long swaths)

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 9 cups water
- 1 cup pearl tapioca (1/8-inch, the pink ones if you can find them!.)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp. white sugar
- 1 tsp. cardamom (powder, slightly toasted)
- 1 pink grapefruit (peeled and segmented, the large segments cut in half)
- 2 blood orange (peeled and segmented)
- 1 can mandarin oranges (in juice, drained)
