- brown sugar (– to lower the calories, you can use a low glycemic brown sugar substitute)
- butter
- maple syrup
- chopped pecans
- mini marshmallows (– or use these vegan marshmallows)
- 1 3/4 lb. sweet potatoes (29-ounce can cooked)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar substitute (or brown sugar, packed)
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (divided in half)
- non-stick cooking spray
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (vegan, or regular mini marshmallows)

This is a great recipe! So much easier using canned sweet potatoes. Since I used a 40 oz. can, I made a small adjustment in the other ingredients. I did also add 1/2 cup of heavy cream. I wished I had used orange juice like another reviewer. Common sense would tell you to read the reviews first, not after like I did. Oh well, live and learn.
