- 1.5 kilograms purple yam (we get them from the local Asian supermarket)
- 100 grams ling fish
- 400 grams prawns
- 1.7 liters water (/ 7 US cup, /chicken stock/vegetable stock)
- 1 Tbsp. chicken bouillon powder
- 1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 4 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 8 spring onion (white, heads, get these by cutting the green part and roots off the spring onions)
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- herbs (uncheckedrice paddy, for garnishing, optional)
