- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint ( or spearmint )
- 1 Tbsp. fresh dill (chopped)
- 1/4 virgin olive oil ( divided )
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves (cut into thin ribbons )
- 1/3 cup pearl barley ( or bulgur, cooked )
- 1 tsp. chili flakes (red, or Maras peppers, to taste )
- whole wheat pita bread (cut into triangles for serving)
