- tea (strainer, optional)
- 2 Tbsp. sunflower seeds
- 2 Tbsp. shredded coconut
- 2 cups buckwheat (soaked and cooked, here’s how, start with 1 1/4 cup dry groats)
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1 tsp. maple syrup (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. date (optional)
- 2 tsp. honey (optional)
- hemp seeds (optional for sprinkling)
- 1 tsp. virgin coconut oil (cold-pressed, optional stir-in)
- 1 Tbsp. almond butter
- 1 tsp. tea (rooibos, ground to a powder in coffee grinder*)
- 2 tsp. raw cacao powder
- 1 cup coconut water (you can use pure water, just add an extra date to the blender)
- 4 medjool dates (pitted, here’s how, I use 2, but I like my kasha to be barely sweet. If you are a slave to a sweet tooth, go for 4 dates.)
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract (choose gluten-free extract if you have a sensitivity)
- 1 pinch fine ground sea salt
