- 280 butter
- 250 sugar
- 250 self raising flour (I used plain and added 2 tspbaking powder)
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 5 large eggs
- 2 instant coffee (or more tbsp, plus 1 tbsp hot water to dissolve coffee, leave aside to cool.)
- 2 Tbsp. cream (/milk, I used sour cream, which I think doesn't make any difference to the final cake)
- 340 grams bittersweet chocolate
- 385 grams heavy cream (/whipping cream)
- 57 grams unsalted butter (optional, I did not use this)
- 28 cognac (I did not use this)
