- 15 oz. Chili (or 1 1/2 cups homemade)
- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes (drained WELL, I used spicy seasoned)
- 1 cup carrots (shredded or very thinly sliced, optional – hubby didn’t care for them)
- 12 oz. french fries (crinkle cut, frozen)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 lb. lean beef (SMALL, pieces or ground beef)
- 1 clove garlic (FINELY minced)
- 1 yellow onion (or medium white, FINELY chopped)
- 2 tsp. chile powder
- fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
- 2 cups tomato sauce (/puree)
- 3/4 cup beer (room temperature)
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
