The perfect biscuit! We love to make them for breakfast and serve them with jam. I've mixed them by hand and using my stand up mixer and they turn out the same both ways.

You need to change the initial ingredient list to 1 1/4 instead of just a 1/4. Trust me, they're really dry with just a 1/4....

Just made these; they turned out great! I cut the butter into the flour mixture a bit before throwing it into the stand mixer and adding the buttermilk. I had to scrape the flour mixture a few times into the dough as it mixed. Oh! I made my own buttermilk with a mixture of milk and cream and a tablespoon or so of white vinegar. Yum!
