Butter Poached Chilean Crab Rolls

Description

Most crab rolls call for mayonnaise and other fillers. We will have none of that here. Just poach Chilean crab meat in melted butter which enchances it fresh from the sea sweet briny flavor. Nothing is better than crab meat and melted butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound crab meat (Chilean)
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter (or more)
  • 8 hoagie rolls

    Directions

    1. Melt 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter in a saute pan on medium low heat.
    2. Once the butter is melted turn heat to low and gently stir in the crab meat. Add additional butter if needed.
    3. While crab meat is warming split the hoagie rolls and spread some of the melted butter from the pan on the inside of the rolls. Grill rolls butter side down until golden brown.
    4. Divide crab meat amoung the hoagie rolls and sever immediately
