- 2 celery ribs (chopped)
- 1 onion (medium, chopped)
- 1 medium carrot (grated)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup broth (chicken, veggie broth for veg option)
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (hot louisianan-style, I used ⅛ cup since kids were eating it.)
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 hamburger buns
- 1 cup crumbled blue cheese (for topping)
