I made this cake for the first time and wasn't very happy with the flavor. It is kind of on the bland side. I did taste the spices and that is it. I need to find something to make it a tad bit sweeter and/or a different extract. I plan to make this bourbon glaze to see if it adds a punch to the flavor.
